How Rova Web Began

Joseph (Joey) Desai grew up in Botetourt, Virginia, while Amar Vugdalic grew up nearby in Roanoke. The two met as classmates at Virginia Tech, where they discovered a shared love for programming, design, and helping local businesses modernize their online presence.

The idea for Rova Web was born over dinner at a local Cook Out — a casual conversation about how small businesses often struggle to find reliable, affordable web help turned into a mission to change that.

After graduating with Computer Science degrees, Joey and Amar combined their technical skills and hometown roots to create a web company focused on simplicity, transparency, and results. Today, Rova Web serves clients across Roanoke, Richmond, and communities throughout Virginia, delivering websites that look great, load fast, and grow businesses.
